Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed to determine the applicability of teaching the course of English as a foreign language in Anatolian High Schools in parallel with the criteria of Council of Europe. With this regard, Council of Europe Foreign language teaching articles were listed in the way that they included only one proposition in each level. Despite the fact that the main aim is to determine the applicability of articles of Anatolian High School teaching English as a foreign language in the criteria of Council of Europe, the articles of teaching English as a foreign language in Primary Schools in which students receive education before the secondary education institution were also taken into consideration. According to this, the articles of Primary School and Anatolian High School were listed in the way that they included only one proposition like Council of Europe articles, as well. The matching of each article determining parallel targets of the lists obtained were made. In the light of the data gathered, assessment and evaluation in regard to applicability were made. The data obtained in this study are presented in the conclusion chapter. VI
