The projects included in the European Union oriented graphic education, instructors sentiments

European Union has various education systems. European Union aims to turn its education systems into a prototype system. Education is considered as a tool for achieving the targets of the European Union; and therefore, the unification of the education systems and convergence of the educational policies applied by countries is given importance.In this study, an examination has been conducted on how the departments giving education of graphics in universities benefit from LDV LDV(Leonardo Da Vinci) and Erasmus mutual student Exchange programs by means of National Agency within the Accession Process. It was searched whether the projects of the graphic departments that have been accepted are qualified and what activities the National Agency does with the foreign relations of the departments so as to attract the participation to the projects, and it has been researched whether these Project are qualified to become more widespread in the graphic department of EU Projects. Within the research conducted, the EU projects were examined and the educational and cultural projects were categorised under a subheading. The education and culture oriented objectives of these programs were examined. To see the extensity, beneficence and sufficiency of the projects in the departments giving arts education, a questionnaire survey made of 26 questions which were divided into categories in accordance with each sub-problem question. The opinions of the Project participant and Project experts were taken and the questionnaire was prepared accordingly. The questionnaire was answered by means of face to face meeting, and all needed explanations respondents so as to increase the validity and authenticity of the questionnaire.The population of the study is constituted of the instructors in the department giving arts education and graphic education in universities in Ankara. 40 instructors related with the subject in Gazi University, Başkent University, Bilkent University, TOBB Economy and Technology University and Hacettepe University were applied to respond the questionnaire.To see the opinions of the instructors, the data collected from the questionnaire are indicated in the frequency tables.At the end of the study, the following results have been reached:1.The projects are not sufficient and widespread enough.2.More people want to benefit from the projects.3.The instructors participating in the study believe that the EU projects are useful.4.Our departments giving graphic education and graphic arts education within the scope of vocational education oriented projects are not active.5.The graphic education oriented projects were desired to be applied but they were not accepted.In the recommendation section of this study, solutions are explained for benefit from the EU Educational and Cultural projects more and increase their beneficence and extensity.
