Abstract (EN)
Under the influence of the Arab Spring, pro-democracy movements began in Syria in March 2011 against the Assad administration. Over time, the events turned into a Syrian Civil War. Over time, the civil war became an international event. Over the years, more than 21% of the Syrian population has had to leave their places. Syrian asylum seekers have influced the residents in various ways Due to both the difficulties of fleeing war and settling in a new place, these people have biological and economic needs as well as psychological needs. In this context, host countries have developed various service models for incoming Syrian asylum seekers. The EU provided financial support of € 605.3 million by April 2018 to provide Syrians with various services within Greece, thus covering the expenses of around 50 thousand Syrian refugees. More than 3.5 million Syrians are living in Turkey. The EU promised to send € 3 billion to Turkey in order to be used for only Syrians. However, that fund has not been arrived totally yet. But, Turkey iteslf has spent more than $ 35 billion for Syrian refugees. In this thesis, it is aimed to examine the psychological support services provided to Syrians. In this context, Turkey, in which the most Syrians hosted, and Greece, the most widely used country for EU accession, were examined.
