Harmonization of Turkish SME's to Small Business Act for Europe: Izmir sample

In terms of their places in developing and developed states economies, shares in employment and contribution in added value, SMEs are accepted backbone of economy. SMEs have also highly strategic importance in European Union with their power of providing employment and shares in added value. Global and regional restrictions and crises lived in recent years have brought about SMEs being evaluated in much more important position.However, SMEs in markets known as disadvantaged group in terms of technological, administrative and financial areas. Changing of this situation and developing technologic, administrative and financial capabilities of SMEs is so important in terms of increasing of production, employment and added value. In 2008 , Small Business Act for Europe which accepted by member and candidate states of European Union, in terms of accomplish this requirement is known as the most comprehensive and actual document.Small Business Act for Europe which aims creating a healthy business environment with provides efficient harmonization purpose dissemination entrepreneurship in general economy, developing of innovation capabilities, increasing employment and improving the international competitiveness power of SMEs. With carrying out Small Business Act for Europe which is also accepted in Turkey it is expected that SMEs in Turkey will operate in much better business environment and with supporting their administrative, technological and financial developments there will be increase in employment and added value.
