Abstract (EN)
In this study, the religion understanding of the occupational groups consist of doctors, lawyers and teachers living in Adana is aimed to be researched. After occupations and work division are treated on a sociological ground, their relations with religion was investigated according to sociological foundations, social stratification and social class and status with respect to religion sociological. Effects of religion in modern society, its functions, understanding forms, religious typology consisted tried to put forward the theory. Social stratification and class structure in Turkey were examined in the context of modernization. Later in Adana, lawyers, doctors and teachers have created for religious understanding hypotheses were tested. Results were analyzed statistically. These findings are interpreted by theoretical framework of the profession in Adana understanding of religion was explained by the findings.
