Investigation of the effect of work stress and burnout levels of Aydın Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate employees on internet addiction

In this research, effect of work stress and burnout syndrome levels of Aydin Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate on internet addiction and the between them according to some variables was aimed. Relational scanning model was used in order to determine the relationship between work stress and burnout levels of individuals working in Aydin Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate with internet addiction and to examine them according to demographic variables. "Personel Information Form" for the collection of data created by the researcher, "Work Stress Scale" created by Hause and Rizzo (1972) and adapted to Turkish by Efeoğlu (2006) was created by Maslach and Jackson (1981) in the study to measure burnout by Ergin (1992). "Maslach Burnout Scale" and "Internet Addiction Scale" created by Günüç and Kayri (2010) were used. Data of study, a total of 181 people, 93 men and 88 women working under Aydın Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate, participated. According to the findings obtained at the end of the research, it was concluded that as work stress and burnout levels increase, the level of internet addiction also increases. In addition, significant differences were found between demographic variables and job stress, burnout and internet addiction.
