A research on the effect of irrigation on physiology efficiency and quality of gemlik olives under the conditions of the Didim district of Aydin province

Mediterranean climate is seen as the climate characteristics of the study area. In Aydın conditions, when the Gemlik variety olive is irrigated with the drip irrigation method, the most suitable irrigation program has been determined according to normal and limited water conditions, and since the olive, which is an economically important product in the region, is not irrigated to a large extent, it has been determined that the olives with correct irrigation show an increase in yield. In particular, based on the comparison of the irrigated and control trees in olives, it is very important to determine the increase in the oil rate in the fruit, the amount of fruit size, the changes in the yield per tree, to carry out this study on the olive, the dominant variety of the region, and to reflect the results to the producer scientifically. is a fact. It has been observed that if sufficient and desired amount of olives are irrigated, it stops the periodontitis, where there is an increase in yield and quality.
