Evaluation of presental and potential recreatinal opportunities in the near environment of Aydin city

Recreation is activities that people can refill their energy and refresh themselves physically and psychological in their free times. After industry revolution, migrate is begun from field to city and this migrate brought many complication to people's lifes by increasing population. Technologic improvements are made shorter the working hours and revived phenomenon of free time by decreasing to need for manpower. So that people's desire to recognize the surroundings, socializing and relaxing are increased. Aim of this master's thesis is presenting the suggestions about fixing natural and cultural places, improving alternative recreational opportunities in near areas of Aydın city and gaining new recreational areas to the city. Natural and cultural recreationally places in near areas of Aydın city are composed the main material of master's thesis. The master's thesis is systematically consisted 3 main grades. The first grade, perceptions of citizens to recreational activities and available activity opportunities are measured by prepared survey study. The second grade, fixing of areas which had natural and cultural resource value in near areas of Aydın city with in 10 km radius is consisted. The third grade, potential recreation areas in the border of study area are determined by end of the findings observations in own places, literature resources and meetings that we did with civil society organizations, associations, institutions and organizations therefore suggestions are improved.
