In recent times, the automobile industry has not only reduced petrol consumption but also increased interest in researching lightweight materials for structural components. Magnesium alloys have the characteristics of low density, higher specific strength and better machinability that attract the attention of researchers and automobile designers, and the developed countries place great importance on magnesium alloys in transportation applications such as automobiles. AZ31 is a magnesium alloy containing aluminum, magnesium, manganese and zinc with a density of 1.78 g/cm3. Resistant in organic environments, resistant to sea water and acidic environments. Friction stir spot welding method is a solid state welding method in automotive, electronics and other industrial branches derived from friction stir welding. There is a very simple application in three stages of plunge, stir and withdrawal with a set similar to the welding set similar to the friction stir welding method. The purpose of this work is to combine friction welding at different welding parameters of the AZ31 Magnesium Alloy, which is widely used in the market. Metallographic evaluation of the structures formed after the merger will be made, mechanical behavior will be determined with tests such as tensile and microhardness measurement. The most appropriate source parameters and the mechanical behaviors in these parameters will be determined at the end of the studies. Experimental studies were carried out by using optical bench and SEM microscopes and the microhardness distributions were determined on the Vickers hardness scale by using the milling bench and welding cross sections of the samples combined with friction mixing point source at different parameters. The tensile test applied to the specimens combined with the friction material was applied to find the mechanical properties.
