Abstract (EN)

The fair tale is form of verbal narrative that transmits the moral values, the future and most importantly the truht to the children who are indirectly addressed to the children who are indirectly addressed and prepares them fort he chaos of real life. Although fair tales appeal to all segments of the society, the real address is children. Many things have been said and written from the past to the present fort he tale genre, which is one of the leading oral narrative genres. Tales are the kind that gives information about the society in which they live. In the is emphasized. The definitions of the tales of the important writers who have worked in the field of folk litareture are given. In turn, informations about the form festures, content features, origin, emergence and spread of the tale are given from Turkish and World literatures. The information is given about the tradition of telling stories in Azerbaijan. Afterwards, a total of 165 tales in five boks named The Tales of Azerbaijan which is published in five volumes that compiled and collected by Hanefi Zeynalli were examined. The heroes in the tales have been identified one by one. The iden tified tale heroes were classified under three general headings as humans, extraordinary beings and animals. At the end of the study, humans, extraordinary beings and animals were identified and classified according to the subtitles of general titles in the 165 tales.
