Azerbaijan and Turkey Turkish with Turkish euphemism comparative study

Taboos are prohibitions that exist in society and their history dates back to ancient times. Words that express these prohibitions and facilitate their use in society are under the title of euphemism. Although euphemisms serve to replace taboos that are considered forbidden, the cultural development of the society has changed this flow over time. Today, euphemisms are not only used instead of taboos, but also serve to express objects and events more beautifully, making our language beautiful. This study consists of three parts and the beautiful namings in Azerbaijan and Turkey Turkish are discussed. In the introduction part of the thesis, general information is given about the language, history, culture and religious structure of the Azerbaijani Turks. Later, the term of beautiful naming is explained, after giving a general information, the subject, purpose, materials and methods used in the study are reported. We started the study with the concept of Taboo, then we considered the origin, types, studies and ideas about taboo. At the same time, we have discussed the reasons that condition the emergence of this concept. After reviewing these titles, we defined euphemisms. By mentioning the reasons for the emergence of these words, we explained the relationship between Taboo and Euphemism. At the same time, we explained the terms Beautiful and Bad naming and their usage purposes by talking about the types of euphemisms. We examined euphemisms structurally. In the third chapter, we examined the researches on taboos and euphemisms in Azerbaijani Turkish and the classification of euphemisms according to the subjects. In the conclusion part, we presented the importance of the study and the euphemism examples that we collected at the end as a dictionary. Keywords: Euphemism, Azerbaijani language, Turkish, Taboo
