Assessment ‎ of the quality of life of women working in the hospital in Babylon city

This research was conducted to determine the quality of life of women working in the hospital in Babil, Iraq. The research is of descriptive type and its population consists of women working at İmam Sadık Hospital in Babil province of Iraq. The research was conducted with 130 female employees between June 1, 2022 and December 1, 2022. The data of the study were collected face to face by the researcher, using a survey form containing questions regarding the demographic characteristics of women and the SF-36 Quality of Life Scale, which consists of 36 items. The data obtained were analyzed using the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 25.0 Statistics Package Program. Frequency analysis (number, percentage, average), Independent Sample t test, Mann–Whitney U ‎and Kruskal–Wallis analyzes were used in the analysis of the data collected within the scope of the research. According to the research results, 71.53% of the participants were married, 52.30% had a medium income level, 43.84% lived in an urban area, and 66.15% had children. . According to the results of the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the variables of physical function, physical role difficulty and energy-vitality sub-dimensions according to age and profession (p<0.05). It was determined that the general health perception sub-dimension showed a significant difference only according to profession. As a result of pairwise comparisons, participants between the ages of 35-45 were found to be different from others in all scale sub-dimensions (p<0.05). As a result of the research, it was found that the quality of life of women working in hospitals varies according to many variables. Since the high quality of life of women working in the health sector will directly affect the quality of health services provided, it is recommended to evaluate the affecting variables.
