Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to examine the effects of attachment styles on obsessive compulsive disorder in romantic relationships and partner dependency, and also to determine whether these variables differ according to demographic variables or not. The population of the research consists of individuals living in Turkey and having romantic relationships. The sample of the study consists of 415 people with romantic relationships who participated in the research voluntarily. In the study, the relational survey model was used as the research model. The data were collected through the online platform Google Forms, using the Demographic Information Form, the Three-Dimensional Attachment Styles Scale, the Romantic Relationship Obsessions and Compulsions Scale, and the Dependency in Romantic Relationships Scale. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program. In order to evaluate the normality of the data in the research, skewness and kurtosis values were used. Pearson Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis, Independent Sample t-test and ANOVA were used for data analysis. As a result, it was found that the attachment styles sub-dimensions were correlated with some of the sub-dimensions of obsessive-compulsive disorder in romantic relationships and partner dependency.
