Azerbaijan economy after the independence and evaluation in terms of The Dutch Disease

This study, Dutch Disease, the main sectors of the Azerbaijan economy and the effect of the Dutch Disease on the Azerbaijan economy were analysed. Due to the enclave structure of the oil sector, the effect of the resource movement, which is the main effect of the dutch disease has not been observer. İn addition, Azerbaijani economy was found to be overly dependent on the oil sector, and the economic model covering the relationship between export, GDP and oil prices in 1990-2014 has been developed. Result of the econometric analysis 0,1% percent of the increase in oil prices has become the cause for 1,79% percent increase in export. At the same time, 1 percent of the increase in oil prices has become the cause for 1,51% percent growth in Azerbaycan economy. Keywords: Dutch Disease, Economy of Azerbaijan, Resorce Curse
