Analyzing the works of Bahaeddin Özkişi in terms of values education

The aim of this study is to be analyzed all Works of Bahaeddin Özkişi whose Works have also been among "100 Basic Works", in terms of "Values Educations" based upon Ministry of National Education's activities on values education. The document analysis technique in qualitative resarch methods has been used. First, values in Bahaeddin Özkişi's work are recorded. At least 24 values are selected among National Education Basic Law Turkish National Education General Purpose, Secondary Education Turkish Language and Literature Curriculum (2017), and Social Studies Curriculum (2017) and the list of them is formed. Then, recorded values in the works are classified according to this value list. Accordingly, the sort of values in this work, the name of the work and page numbers are written. With the aim of determining the frequency of values usage in the works, collected data are tabulated and graphics are formed with the help of these tables. In the end of the study, it is seen that values are taken much part among the works of Bahaeddin Özkişi. According to this,it is confirmed that helpfulness, patriotism and respect values are mostly used. The least confirmed values are sedulity, generosity, modesty and faithfulness. Finally, it is ended up that the works of Bahaeddin Özkişi can be used in "Values Education" activities. Key Words: Value, Education, Value Education, Bahaeddin Özkişi.
