Abstract (EN)

Under dynamic conditions, strain property of ground plays a crucial role where quality of buildings are similar. Depending on strain, damage index value (Kg) is defined. According to this definition, when Kg values are higher than 20 threshold , it is accepted that ground does not act elastically. In this context, local ground conditions in Balçova and it's vicinty, have been analyzed with geophysical methods so that we can get some information about ground acts (under dynamic conditions).Further more in current study, using dispersion of Rayleigh waves, two dimensional depth-velocity maps were constituted. Also using root mean square calculation method, PGA changings, between seismic bedrock and ground level, were obtained from Quasi Transfer Spectra amplitude values . As a result of thisstudy ,it is highly possible that strain property of ground will not act elastically. When MASW level maps are examined, it is seen that ground layer is stil dominant at 40 meters. That means Vs30 is invalid for this area. So in situ design should use for study area. As well as these results, according to RMS evaluations, it is estimated that, seismic bedrock PGA values will be amplified 1.5 or 2 times, when they have reached to ground surface.
