Özet (EN)

This study was carried out between 2018 and 2020 for the detection and characterization of Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in the industrial tomato production areas commercially grown in Bandırma and its region. Leaf samples were taken from a total of 106 tomato plants from 22 different gardens suspected to be simptomatologically infected with CMV in industrial tomato production areas and CMV infection was detected in samples taken from 16 gardens as a result of DAS-ELISA tests. RT-PCR studies were carried out using the degenerate primer pair of CMV-specific RW8 (5'-GGTTCGAA(AG)(AG)(AT)ATAACCGGG–3') and RV11 (5'-GTTTATTTAGAGCGTACGG–3'), with 16 samples positively detected in DAS-ELISA and a band measuring 650 bp. As a result of the series analyses, on the phylogenetictree created using CMV isotylates reported from different countries of the world; CMV-14 isolate was in the same group, while CMV-13 isolate was included in a different group. Keywords: Tomato, CMV, RT-PCR, DAS-ELISA, Sequence Analysis
