Abstract (EN)
The importance of news agencies in the media sector of today's world is better understood with each passing day. Generally, news agencies, which have a strong economic infrastructure, produce news by having reporters in more regions than an independent media organization. It serves the news produced to other independent media organizations through subscription agreements. However, there are not many studies in the literature on the news production process of news agencies, which have a large share of the journalism industry. Therefore, this study has been made about the news production practices of news agencies in Bangladesh and Turkey. The aim of the study is to contribute to the gap in the literature by examining the news production practices of the reporters in the news agencies of the two countries mentioned and revealing the positive and negative situations experienced by the reporters in this process. In addition, by comparing the news production practices of the two countries, the situation and features that can be shown in a relatively good position are tried to be revealed. In this study, which was conducted with the interview technique, the researcher was in both countries and conducted interviews with reporters. A total of 42 reporters from AA, İHA, BSS and UNB attended the interviews, in which 18 pre-prepared questions were addressed. The empirical findings of this study were formed by analyzing the answers given by the reporters to the questions. The empirical findings of this study were formed by analyzing the answers given by the reporters to the questions. The findings revealed that reporters working in every news agency faced certain difficulties and impossibilities in their news production practices. In addition, in the comparison, it has been determined that although the news agencies in Bangladesh are in a better position than the news agencies in Turkey at some points, Turkey is generally at a more advanced level in agency journalism between the two countries. As a result, within the framework of the findings of this study, the positive and negative situations experienced by the reporters, who are the heroes of the news production process, during the news production process were revealed. Institutions can offer a healthier working environment to reporters by making the necessary improvements in this context. In addition, the news agencies of the two countries included in the sample can also make inferences from the findings of this study, be aware of the existing problems and develop solutions.
