Abstract (EN)
Keywords: Banki Turbine, Mitchell Turbine, Ossberger Turbine, cross-flow, efficiency of a banki The purpose of this study is to develop the banki turbine which can work in our country which has low net head. The performance values related the flow rate of a Banki turbine, which are designed with the help of fluid mechanics principles, and used the runner blade at the specific water inlet angle, has been identified. The operating conditions of the turbine has been determine in the Turbine Test Center, which fed by a double suction centrifugal pump installed in Turkey Electromechanical Industry Co. (TEMSAN). The Banki turbine test designed for operation at the head of 20 meters and a flow rate of 400 l/s was carried out in the test center. Banki turbine, designed in 20 meter head and at 400 l/s flow rate operating conditions; The performance values were measured by operating at 10 m, 15 m, 20 m, 30 m and 40 m head and variable flow rates. The runner design of the turbine has been compared according to the working conditions of the turbine and the results obtained after the tests. The efficiency of the turbine in design values as well as more efficient working points have been determined.
