Abstract (EN)

The dams, known as safe structures and serving many purposes, can be demolished due to excessive precipitation, structural errors, and earthquakes. Flood waves that will occur as a result of their demolish will lead to great disasters. By modelling the floods that may occur as a result of the demolition of the dam, the damages that may occur can be minimized. In this thesis study; Two-dimensional demolition analysis of Yeşildere Dam, which is under construction in the Karacabey District of Bursa Province and has a settlement in downstream, was carried out. The aim of the study is to determine whether the flood that occurs in the event of the demolition of the dam will reach the settlement downstream, and the time to reach its. Numerical maps of the Yeşildere Dam and downstream region were edited by ArcGIS software and the collapse analysis was done by the HEC-RAS program developed by USACE. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that some settlements in the downstream area were affected by the flood, and by creating flood risk maps, the maximum water levels, and the timing of these levels were determined.
