Social-cultural life in Bartin in the light of Bartin Newspaper (1924-1925)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the social, cultural, economic and health status of the city of Bartın between 1924-1925 according to the Bartın newspaper. In our study, the content evaluation of the numbers of Bartın Newspaper between September 6, 1924 and June 15, 1925, and the ways in which local news were announced to the public, the terms of the period and the situation they revealed were tried to reveal the socio-economic and cultural life of the city. Thus, the social developments and cultural accumulation of Bartın between the years of 1924 and 1925 were examined and examined in a wide framework from public order to health, from transportation to refugees, from education to societies, from economy to daily life. In our study, daily life in Bartin, the relationship between the general situation in Turkey's social problems and economic life; the link between the subject titles and the reflection forms to the newspaper; the statements of the local administrators towards Bartın and their reflections on the activist level were discussed.
