The title of the research: the creativity levels and the reading strategies of successful and unsuccessful 7th grade students use in Turkish lesson.Researcher: Savaş YILMAZThe aim of the research is to investigate the relations between the creativeness levels (fluency, flexibility and originality) and the reading strategies of successful and unsuccessful students who are in the 7th grade of primary school of Mehmet Akpınar and Namık Kemal use in Turkish lesson.This research has been carried out over the 126 students who are in the 7th grade of primary school of Mehmet Akpınar and Namık Kemal.The data of this research were collected with the help of the Reading Strategies Questionnaire prepared by Açıkgöz and Güngör and the Torrance Creative Thinking Test (Oral Form A) which was applied on the 126 students.In the analysis of the data, Arithmetic Mean, Standart Deviation, t-test and analysis of Variance were used.In the end of the research, successful and unsuccessful students? levels of creativeness (fluency, flexibility and originality) and the reading strategies that successful and unsuccessful students use the most and least were identified.There was some important significance found in the analysis of the reading strategies levels between successful and unsuccessful students.There was not any significance found in the analysis of the fluency, flexibility and originality level between successful and unsuccessful students.Key Words: Successful and unsuccessful students, Reading comprehension, Learning strategies, Creativity
