Evaluation of Angiographic and Clinical Results of İntracerebral Aneurysms Treated with Simple Coil Purpose: Evaluation of short-medium term recurrence of intracerebral aneurysms after simple coiling and investigation of factors affecting recurrence Materials and Methods: Post-treatment images of 64 patients who underwent aneurysm treatment with simple coil embolization method in the interventional radiology clinic between 2013 and 2020, and the CTA, MRA and DSA images performed for control were retrospectively examined to detect the presence of recurrence. Factors that can affect recurrence were statistically investigated. Results: The mean age of 64 patients included in the study was 50.37 ± 12.71 years. 42 (65.6%) of the patients were female and 22 (34.4%) were male. Fifty-two (81.3%) of the patients who underwent EVT had ruptured aneurysms and 12 (18.8%) had non-ruptured aneurysms. The average height of 65 aneurysms was 6 ± 3.15 mm with a minimum height of 2.9 mm and a maximum height of 15 mm. The average neck width of 65 aneurysms was 2.7 ± 1.11 mm, with a minimum neck width of 1.15 mm and a maximum neck width of 6.80 mm. The ratio of mean neck width to diameter of 65 aneurysms was 0.60 ± 0.17 with a minimum value of 0.21 and a maximum value of 0.98. The median follow-up period of the patients was 12 months, with a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 72 months. In the follow-up of 64 patients after EVT, 14 (21.8%) patients had recurrence. Of the 14 patients, 10 (71.4%) were type 2, 3 (21.4%) were type 3A, and 1 (7.1%) was type 3B according to Raymond's criteria. In this study, we found our recurrence rate as 21.8%, in accordance with the literature. As a result of statistical studies conducted to determine possible risk factors of patients with recurrence, we found a statistically significant relationship between aneurysm neck width-diameter ratio and aneurysm height (> 10 mm) with recurrence. Conclusion: According to our study, we think that neck width-diameter ratio and aneurysm height are the most important recurrence factors. As the follow-up time of the treated patients increased, we observed an increase in the number of recurrences we detected, and we think that the 6-month follow-up period is not sufficient to detect recurrence.
