A study on history of Turkish graphic arts form its early days upto its present

History of Turkish Graphic Arts have been considered to begin with Ibrahim Müteferrika and the first publishing house he had founded, so far. As Graphic Arts do not consist of publishing works and techniques merely, this paper studies the necessity to begin Turkish Graphic Arts with the visiual abstraction examples of the people who called themselves as Turks for the first time. The visi ual abstractions, forms of writing, figurative pictures (illustrations) produced by great many of the people called Turks are included within the scope of this paper.
