Conflict Between Byzantine and Islam From The Beginning to Umayya's Age

Anatolia, the homeland we live; has a significant importance in the sense of Turkish, Islamic and World history. Before Turkish people had made Anatolia their homeland forever, conquest movements has been organized through Anatolia by muslims. Such term was examined under ?Conflict Between Byzantine and Islam From The Beginning to End of Umayya?s Age? name in our thesis. Byzantine ? Islam Conflict which had formed the historical framework of our thesis and had begun with an invitation letter to Islam sent by Mohammed to Emperor of Byzantine; went through a different way after accomplisment of Syrian conquests, establishment of Sugur organization, summer and winter wars and military, administrative and social developments in Anatolia followed that. During the conflicts against Byzantine for about one century, the attacting side was mostly muslims and other side Byzantine had to defense itself from those attacks. The most important attacks among those was composed of Istabul Encompassments achieved twice during Muaviye b. Ebi Sufyan, Umayya?s Hhalifa, in 668 and 670 years and during Suleyman b.
