Özet (EN)
Ship seakeeping analysis has a major importance for reaching the desired level in load, crew and equipment safety and in passenger comfort. Various computational fluid dynamics methods are used to analyse the motions of ships in waves at design and pre-design stages. The three dimensional panel method, which simplifies the analysis procedure besides its credibility, has a widespread usage. In this study, diffraction and radiation theory to analyse the ship motions is explained and the analysis was carried out on Wigley hull forms using ANSYS AQWA program which is based on this theory and carries out calculations via panel method using green functions. Primarily the analysis results and experimental results of the past studies are compared. Thereafter, hulls are appended with fins at various locations and analysed to investigate the effects of fins and their locations on heave and pitch motions in head waves.
