Abstract (EN)
Aim of this study is to search whether there is effect of 8 weeks basic badminton training applied on the female students never not doing exercise in badminton sport and studying at Physical Education and sport faculty on the some physical, physiological and motoric features or not and to contribute to the relevant field and literature.Study was carried out on total 30 female students studying at 2nd class of Physical Education and Sport Faculty in Gazi University, Ankara. Student participated into the study voluntarily and they were divided into two groups as 15 experiments and 15 controls.For the groups participating into the study, height, body weight, right claw strength, left claw strength, back strength, leg strength, 30 meter run up, flexibility measurement, light and sound reaction time measurement with right and left hand, vertical jumping, long jump and coordination measurements were carried out as pre-test and post-test.Mann-Whithey U test from non-parametric tests was performed by determining the arithmetic average (x), Standard Change (SC), Minimal and Maximal Sizes of measurement outcomes in the statistical analysis. SPSS 16 package program was used in the calculations. Level of significance was accepted as 0,01-0,05.While it was not found any significant difference in the 1th measurement results between experiment group and control group, it was found significant differences in favor of experiment group statistically in 2nd measurement results between experiment and control group after the applied 8 weeks training.In conclusion, it can be said that applied 8 weeks basic badminton training has positive effect on female athletes in terms of both physical and physiological.
