Abstract (EN)
This research has been condcuted in order to determine the reactions of female classroom teachers educating the fourth and fifth grades, to in-class negative behaviour of the students in official primary schools affiliated with City of Istanbul District of Ümraniye Department of Education.In accordance with this goal, the survey has been conducted to 150 female classroom teachers educating fourth and fifth grades, officiating in 37 official primary schools within the borders of district of Ümraniye; city of Istanbul,The survey results has been analyzed by t test, Kruskal Wallis-H test, Mann Whitney-U tests, by the benefiting from SPSS (Statistical Package for Socşal Science) for Windwos Release 13.0 bundle software.As a result of the research; it has been found out that teachers react to out of disciplinary behaviours mostly with ?I make a constructive criticism?, ?I make an eye contact with the student?, ?I tell about the results of negative behaviour? and least with ?I can?t realize?, ?I punish physically? and ?I criticize the whole class?. In addition to this, it has been determined that female teachers reaction to in-class out of discipline behaviours differ according to personal traits; female teachers display more positive behaviours for fourth grades compared to fifth grades, teachers married and with children are more positive compared to singe and childless teachers, and reactions the teachers display do not change from the perspective of age, marital status, professional seniority and the number of students in the classroom.Key words: Classroom management, discipline, teacher, undesirable behaviour
