Abstract (EN)

In this study, twelve 2-[[4-(Substitue-phenyl/benzyll)-1-piperazinyl]methyl]-6-(4-methylphenyl/phenyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone derivatives were synthesized.The structures of these new pyridazinone derivatives were elucidated by their elementary analysis, IR and 1H-NMR spectral data.The inhibitory activity of synthesized compunds on COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes was investigated by COX-1 and COX-2 in-vitro Peroxidase Measuring Test using SC-560 and NS-398 as reference inhibitors for COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes respectively. It has been found that compund 4 has exhibited both COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitory activitities, compunds 1, 6, 7 and 9 have exhibited only COX-1 inhibitory activity, but compunds 3, 11, 12 have shown only COX-2 inhibition. By the way compounds 2, 5, 8 and 10 have shown irrelevent inhibitory activity level for COX-1 and COX-2 inhibition.Keywords: 3(2H)-Pyridazinone, Mannich bases, Cyclooxygenase enzymes
