Abstract (EN)
In the present study the determination of the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on some physical and biochemical characters in drought stress on Kober 5 BB and 110 R grapevine rootstocks was aimed. Cuttings were planted into the media containing perlite and turf (1:1) and irrigated regularly. After one-month mycorrhizal fungi as a liquid formulated were applied at 0 (control), 10 and 20 g/l concentrations. The cuttings have been kept for approximately one months and then they were subjected to drought stress (non irrigated). After one-month treatment with the drought stress degree of physical injurity, shoot length, shoot weight, average leaf number per shoot, leaf area, ratio of root, root length, root number and membrane injurity, leaf water content, chlorophyll content, proline, lipid peroxidation, total phenolic compound, hydrogen peroxide content, soluble protein and activities of antioxidant enzyme (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX)) were determined. As a conclusion, it was demonstrated that mycorrhizal fungi had positively effect on shoot and root development and some biochemical characters of grapevine rootstocks in drought stress conditions.
