Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACTMaster ThesisINVERTIGATION OF SOLID STATE ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES SINGLECRYSTALS AND REDOX POTENTIALS OF METAL COMPLEXES OF SOMEAMINES AND BARBITURIC ACID DERIVATIVESIn this study, it was invertigated the solid state electrical properties of some metalcomplexes of ammines and barbituric acid derivatives. The complex compounds have beenprepared by Hasan Yücel SARIKAYA and Elif ŞERAN. The solid state electrical conductingproperties of the compounds and their termal decomposition products were measured by usingdevice which was made by ourselves. These compounds, [Co2(HTP)2(H2O)2]2H2O,[Ni2(HMP)2(H2O)2]4(H2O), [Cu(NP)(H2O)3]H2O, [Mn(NPH)CI(H2O)]H2O, [Cu(HTP)(H2O)](H2O), [Co(NP)(H2O)3]H2O and [Cd(HMP)(H2O)], and their thermal decomposition productsdid not have an electrical conducting properties. Some of these complexes and their thermaldecomposition products of [Cu(NTP)(H2O)]2H2O, [Cd(NP)(H2O)2], [Ni2(HTP)2]8H2O,[Zn(HMP)(H2O)], [Ag(NPH)(H2O)], [Ag(HMP)(H2O)], [Pb(NP)(CH3COO)(H2O)]H2O,[Pb(HMP)(H2O)], E1, E2, E4 and E5. have an electrical conducting properties in some thermalintervals. The electrical conducting properties of these complexes have been investigated in themaster thesis detailed. Third decompotion products of some complexes have very high electricalconducting property. IR spectra of these decomposition products are fitting to IR spectra of theirmetalic oxide forms.Relationship of reduction voltages of the complexes with their electrical conductingproperties were not observed. The single cristals of the complexes have not been able to prepared. Keywords: Complexes, solid state, electrical properties, thermal decomposition.
