Abstract (EN)

In our age as progress in technology, we observe the increasement in utilization of subterraneous sources and their processing possibilities. However on the other hand, there is not enough work on the storage and reusability of the waste materials that come along with the products obtained and also the fact that these waste materials are factors in environmental pollution makes us to investigate these industrial waste materials if these are reusable or not. Various studies have been done for bricks used as building materials in our country and some improvements were provided by different prescriptions prepared. In this thesis, brick soil, Kırka boron waste, calcine magnesite, waste ash and the alunite that brought from Şaphane mixed together with various ratios to form brick samples by using vacuum press method in laboratory environment. The brick samples are heated by various temperature increasements of six step in electical arc type ovens. The physical and mechanical tests are carried out with the end products. With obtained results, it has been seen that most of the physical and mechanical test values of brick samples are convenient to literature and TSE values. With prepared prescriptions, the enhancements in characteristic properties of brick samples such as water absorption, porosity, fire loss, total tensile strength was determined by the applied tests. Also a very special technological property of neutron absorption property was investigated and valuable data was acquired.
