Grafti̇ng performance on the m9 clone rootstock of some apple culti̇vars

Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the success of grafting and seedling growth performance of apple cultivars grafted on apple clone rootstocks between 2020-2021. In this study, 'Granny Challenger', 'Golden Reinders', 'Galaval', 'King Road' and 'Early Red One' apple cultivars were grafted onto M9 rootstock between 07-23.08.2020 with the still t budding method. In terms of graft retention rate, graft success rates in 'Galaval', 'Golden Reinders', 'Early Red One', 'King Road' and 'Granny Challenger' apple cultivars on M9 rootstock were 94%, 90%, 90%, 88% and 88%, respectively. 86 have been determined. The highest vaccination rate was 'Galaval' with 94%, and the lowest was 'Granny Challenger' with 86%. The change in rootstock diameter during grafting and rootstock diameter during sapling removal ranged from 321% to 188%. Rootstock diameters 28.08.2020-07.12.2021 have been determined to differ greatly. While the biggest difference was seen in 'Galaval' with 321%, it was detected in 'Granny Challenger' (302%), 'Golden Reinders' (273%), 'Early Red One' (240), and 'King Road' varieties, respectively. In terms of seedling quality class, the highest quality sapling was determined as 'Early Red One' with 100% success, and the lowest quality was determined in 'Golden Reinders' with 92.35%. In the study, it was determined that successful results were obtained on the success of t bud grafting and seedling quality on M9 clone rootstock in the stagnant period.
