Abstract (EN)

Earliness and quality characteristics of Black Magic, Early Sweet and Trakya İlkeren early table grape cultivars which were grown in polyhouse and open field vineyard of Akdeniz University Faculty of Agriculture in the city of Antalya in Turkey were examined. All cultivars were chip budded on 99R rootstock. Grapevines were trained as double cordon trellis system with half-long pruning (4-6 buds per cane). Grapevines in high tunnel polyhouse were covered with polyethylene plastic sheets on 23.01 2021. Phenological stages such as bud-burst, full bloom, veraison and harvest dates of grapevines were observed. Clusters of Early Sweet were first harvested on 18.6.2021 in polyhouse and followed by Trakya İlkeren (25.6.2021) and Black Magic (14.7.2021). Number of days between bud-burst and harvest dates were counted as 101 in Trakya İlkeren, 109 in Early Sweet and 107 in Black Magic in polyhouse. Early Sweet and Trakya İlkeren clusters were harvested at the same date in open field vineyards (30.06.2021). Bud burst harvest date periods of Trakya İlkeren and Early Sweet were 98 and 118 days respectively in open field vineyards. Finally, Early Sweet table grape cultivar is suitable for earliness in polyhouse but Black Magic is not.
