Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the adaptation of some red (Rovada, Red Lake) and black (Jostaberry, Boskoop Giant, Rosenthal, Goliaht) currant varieties to Tokat province during the years of 2021-2022. The phenological, pomological, morphological and chemical properties of the cultivars were evaluated. The first flowering of the cultivars were recorded as 10-19 April in the first year of the study, 7-26 April in the second year, and the first harvest dates were recorded between 8-22 June in the first year and 22 June-1 July in the second year. According to the two-year averages of the cultivars, the fruit widths range from 7.08 (Boskoop Giant) to 8.33 (Goliaht) mm; fruit lengths were observed between 7.41 (Red Lake)-8.59 (Goliaht) mm, and fruit weights were observed as 0.27 (Boskoop Giant)-0.41 (Goliaht) gr. The highest plant height, plant diameter and number of shoots in the plants were determined in Jostaberry cultivar and were determined as 95.62 cm-24.49 mm and 22.84 pieces, respectively. Vitamin C content was highest in Goliaht variety (438 mg/kg) and lowest in Boskoop Giant variety (277.67 mg/kg), while the highest amount of CCA was found in Boskoop Giant variety (18.31%) and the lowest in Rovada variety (9.10%). Average pH and total acidity values were determined as 3.02 and 3.96%, respectively.
