Abstract (EN)

İn this study, a total of 22 chestnut variates, including 20 chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) cultivar/genotypes and two hybrids (Castanea sativa Mill. x Castanea crenata) cultivars which are cultivated in Bursa ecological conditions were higlighted by selection studies from different ecologists were examinated for tree, shoot and bud characteristics in 2014-2016. İn 2014-2016, the height, width and diameter of the chestnut cultivar/ genotypes and plant growth status were determined. 'N-2-5', 'Karamehmet', 'Firdola', 'N-7-3' varieties had long, 'Ersinop', 'Sarıkestane' varieties had short tree height. 'N-2-5', 'Erfelek', 'N-23-1', 'Karamehmet', 'Firdola' cultivar/genotypes had thick, 'Dursun', 'Seyrekdiken', 'Hacıömer', 'Sarıkestane' varieties had thin trunk diameter. Tree volume on varieties were changed from between 0,01 m3 and 3,38 m3 in 2014, 1,9 m3 and 9,64 m3 in 2015, 1,61 m3 and 17,56 m3 in 2016. The plant habitus status of the varieties showed 'upright' and 'semi-upright' growth except for two varieties. Shoot sizes, density and angularity were determined. 'N-2-5', 'Bouche de Betizac', 'Marigoule' varieties had long, 'Öküzgözü', 'Karamehmet' and 'Kızılcık' varieties had short shoots. Bud size, shape and spill status were determined. 'Ünal', 'Ersinop' ve 'Kızılcık' genotypes had big, 'Öküzgözü', 'Bouche de Betizac' ve 'Firdola' varieties had small bud sizes. ''Bud spill'' were seen in cultivar/genotypes except for 'Derekızık', 'Hacıömer', 'N-23-1', 'Erfelek', 'Karamehmet' and 'Ünal' varieties.
