Abstract (EN)

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) with high protein content is an important food source for people who limited animal product consumption. This study was carried out to determine the yield and yield-related traits of some chickpea genotypes at different sowing times. The study was carried out in Cizre district of Şırnak province according to a split plot experimental design with 3 replications in randomized blocks in 2023-2024 winter growing season with 4 different sowing times (1 January, 20 January, 10 February and 1 March) and 4 different chickpea genotypes (6B17, 6B22, 6B110 and FLIP 03-131C). In the study; at different planting times, the number of plants per square meter was 20,71-21,77 pieces, plant height was 46,63-55,25 cm, first pod height was 24,70-24,13 cm, number of branches was 9,49-11,98 pieces, total pod number was 17,20-31,13 pieces, empty pod number was 2,93-4,04 pieces, grain number was 19.93-25,50 pieces, hundred grain weight was 35,83-37,50 g and grain yield was changed between 179,43-303,91 kg/da. As a result, it was determined that early sowing, especially under good rainfall conditions, increase vegetative development and seed yield, while late sowing may decrease it. For Şırnak conditions, it was determined that 6B22 and FLIP 03-131C chickpea genotypes gave better results in planting on January 20.
