Abstract (EN)
Chalcones are important compounds with simple chemistry that have easy synthetic access to yield various substituted derivatives. Chalcones, which are natural or synthetic compounds belonging to the flavonide family, have abroad spectrum of biological activity. Studies on chalcones have increased in recent years due to its properties such as antibacterial, anticancer, antiviral. In this study, biotransformation of (E)-3-phenyl-1-(p-tolyl)prop-2-en-1-one, (E)-3-(furan-2-yl)-1-(p-tolyl)prop-2-en-1-one and (E)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)-1-(p-tolyl)prop-2-en-1-one by Aspergillus candidus MRC 22634 was performed. The chalcone compounds were incubated for three day, five day and seven day in a shaker. The structure of the resulting metabolites was determined by the spectra of 1H NMR, 13C NMR. Accordingly, the hydrogenation of the chalcones were detected with different yields.
