In this study; the evaluation of some lignocellulosic wastes in the culture of Pleurotus djamor (Rumph. Ex Fr.) Boedijn and Pleurotus citrinopileatus Singer and their effects on the nutritional values and medicinal activities of the basidiocarps obtained were investigated. The mycelium growing periods, primordium formation periods, harvest periods and yields of P. djamor ve P. citrinopileatus grown on various wastes were determined as 11.5-12.8 days, 20.3-36.5 days, 50.0-90.5 days, and 12.0-29.6 g/100g. The contents of P. djamor and P. citrinopileatus were found to be 89.9-91.9 % dry matter, 8.1-10.1 % moisture, 250.8-307.8 kcal energy, 22.0-44.9 % crude protein, 1.1-2.3 % crude fat, 5.8-10.5 % crude ash, 20.3-46.8 % carbohydrate, 81.0-84.1 % organic matter, 543-857 mg/L K, 1.7-55 mg/L Ca, 1.08-3.8 mg/L Na, 1.22-3.2 mg/L Fe, 1.45-2.7 mg/L Zn, 0.17-0.36 mg/L Mn, 1.32-13.0 mg/L Cu, 0.21-0.73 mg/kg vitamin A, 18.49-59.00 mg/kg vitamin E, 112.1-732.4 mg/kg vitamin C and 122.3-561.7 mg/kg MDA, respectively. Furthermore, toxic elements such as Cr, Cd, Co, Ni and Pb were not detected in all testing groups. It was determined that the antioxidant radical scavenging effects of the DPPH, changed from 3.125-25 mg/ml to 2.06-84.20%, TAS 0.96-2.70 mmol/l and TOS 7.43-11.98 µmol/l. When methanol extracts of two species at different concentrations (100 µg/ml ve 200µg/ml) were compared with the control groups, it was observed that they both inhibited the growth of B. subtilis, P. aeruginosa, Trichophyton sp., S. aureus, P. vulgaris and E. coli. Basidiocarps of the two species obtained from BS showed the best cytotoxic effect at 400 μg/ml concentration against MDA-MB-231 (2.2%) and A-549 (2.7%) cell lines, respectively. It was found that the 25 mg/ml methanol extracts of the samples had a DNA protective effect.
