Plant materials such as cherry stalk, henna, almond, quince seed, apricot seed, terebinth, loquat, cucumber peel, which are popularly used for their anti-aging (skin renewal) properties, and Astragalus, Spartium, Trifolium,Centaurea, Onopordum, Carduus, Gundelia, Scolymus, Achillea, Echinops, Tragopogon, Pulicaria, Carlina, Alcea, Malva, Verbascum, Veronica, Kickxia, Stachys, Melissa, Sideritis, Ballota, Teucrium, Mentha, Salvia, Calystegia, Hypericum, Sedum, Cardaria, Capsella, Anchusa, Beta, Silene, Euphorbia and Reseda which are thought to have anti-aging effect potential elastase and collagenase enzyme inhibition activities of ethanol extracts of species belonging to the genera were measured. In addition, the contents of α-amyrin, monoronic, oleanonic, oleanolic, betulinic, ursolic and ursonic acids, which are triterpenes of these species, were determined with the GC-MS device. In the second part of the study, the α-glucosidase and α-amylase enzyme inhibition activities of the prepared extracts of these species, which have antidiabetic effects among the public, were also determined. In terms of antiaging, the materials used among the public are generally activated in both elastase and collagenase enzyme inhibition activities, and especially the henna sample was found to be high in both elastase (inhibition %: 90,72±1,60) and collagenase (inhibition %: 98,80±1,26) enzyme inhibition activities. In terms of antidiabetics, it was found that the species used among the public, especially all samples except almond, were active in α-glucosidase inhibition activity at a concentration of 200 μg/mL, and bıttım seed, cherry stem, quince seed, cinnamon, garlic, henna and licorice root exhibited very high inhibition activities. According to GC-MS results, ursolic acid (83.108±12,47 and 112.220±16,83 µg analyte/g extract, respectively) and oleanolic acid (105.885±27,53 and 161.833±42,07 µg analyte/g extract) of Salvia marashica, and Carlina corymbosa species, were found to be the richest samples in terms of extract. Additionally, Melissa officinalis subsp. officinalis, Astragalus schizopterus and Mentha longifolia subsp. noeana species were found to be rich in these components. As a result of the study, it was concluded that there are valuable species of phytocosmetics and phytopharmaceuticals in terms of antiaging and antidiabetic, and that especially the types that show very high inhibition activity should be subject of further studies and brought the country's economy.
