Abstract (EN)

Aim: Chalcone compounds are compounds with 1,3-diaryl-2-propen-1-one structure and these compounds have various biological activities. In this thesis, it was aimed to synthesize 7 fluorine substituted bis-chalcone compounds and to determine and evaluate their activities by in-vitro activity methods. Material and Method: In this thesis study, starting from the terephthalaldehyde compound in basic medium, the synthesis of the related bis-chalcone compounds was carried out via the Claisen Schmidt condensation reaction using fluorine substituted acetophenone derivatives. Antidiabetic, antioxidant and anticholinesterase activities of these synthesized bis-chalcone derivative compounds were investigated by in-vitro activity methods. Result: The chemical structures of the compounds were elucidated by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. NMR and HRMS spectral findings and activity findings of the compounds are presented in section 4. Conclusion: 5 of the 7 compounds synthesized were synthesized for the first time in the literature, and activity studies have revealed new results for such compounds. Within the scope of the thesis, chalcone compounds were synthesized with 30-63% yield. It was determined that 6 compounds showed strong alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibition among the studied chalcone compounds, and it was observed that compound 9 stood out as the compound with the highest alpha-glucosidase activity among these compounds.
