Examining the effect of physical education teachers' effective communication skills on organizational dissent behaviors

The study examined the impact of physical education teachers' effective communication skills on organizational dissent behaviors to determine the relationship between the sub-dimensions of effective communication skills and organizational dissent behaviors. In light of the data obtained from the study, positive and moderately significant relationships were identified between the "Vertical Dissent" sub-dimension and the "Ego-Enhancing Language" sub-dimension, the "Active Listening" sub-dimension, the "Self-Awareness/Disclosure" sub-dimension, the "Empathy" sub-dimension, and the "Using I-Language" sub-dimension. Positive and moderately significant relationships were found between the "Horizontal Dissert" sub-dimension and the "Ego-Enhancing Language" sub-dimension, "Active Listening" sub-dimension, "Self-Awareness/Disclosure" sub-dimension, "Empathy" sub-dimension, and "Using I-Language" sub-dimension. According to these results, as the participants' horizontal dissert levels increase, their effective communication skills also increase. Negative and moderately significant relationships were found only between the "Externalized Dissert" sub-dimension and the "Ego-Enhancing Language" sub-dimension, "Active Listening" sub-dimension, "Self-Awareness/Disclosure" sub-dimension, "Empathy" sub-dimension, and "Using I-Language" sub-dimension. According to these results, as the participants' externalized dissert levels increase, their effective communication skills decrease. Accordingly, significant relationships were found when the effective communication skills of physical education teachers were examined with different sub-dimensions of organizational dissert behaviors.
