Abstract (EN)
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the role of physical education teachers in physical activity leadership with distance education within the framework of the comprehensive school physical activity program during the Covid-19 epidemic. Materials and methods: The study, which was designed with the focus of basic qualitative research, was conducted with structured interview questions via online interviews and online open-ended questions through "Google documents", taking into account the risk factors of the covid-19 epidemic process. Results: In order to reveal the role of distance education and physical activity leadership during the Covid-19 epidemic, the data were divided into 3 levels as individual, social and physical, and themes affecting the role of physical activity were created for each level. Individual level: Physical activity levels, Social level: Teacher support and family support, Physical level: The quality of distance education and the problem of technology infrastructures Conclusion: It has been determined that the physical education teachers' role of distance education and physical activity leadership could not be applied effectively during the Covid-19 epidemic.
