Examination of physical education teacher's emotions, attitudes and concerns about inclusion students in terms of professional self efficiencies (Malatya province)

This study was planned to examine the feelings, attitudes and concerns of physical education teachers about inclusive students in terms of their professional self-efficacy. In the study, descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. As data collection tools, Personal Information Form, adapted into Turkish by Bayar etc., (2015) Emotions, Attitudes and Concerns about Inclusive Education Scale (KEIDTKÖ) and Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale adapted into Turkish by Çapa etc., (2005) used. While the universe of the study consisted of 550 physical education teachers working in Malatya in the 2020-2021 academic year; The sample group consists of 273 physical education teachers, 174 of whom are male and 99 are female. Since the number of volunteers participating in the study was greater than 50, the normality analyzes of the data were tested with the "Kolmogrov Smirnov test". "Independet-Sample T test" was used for pair wise comparisons, and "One-Way ANOVA" test was used for more than two variables. In the research, according to the variables of teachers' gender and being an inclusion student in their class; Significant differences were found in attitudes and professional competencies. According to the variables of age, professional year, school level, physical activity, being a disabled person in the family; No significant differences were found in teachers' emotions, attitudes, anxiety and professional self-efficacy. As a result; It was determined that the teachers were high in their emotions and attitudes, low in anxiety, and were competent in their professional competence, according to different variables related to inclusive students.
