Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the organizational ostracism and job performance of physical education teachers in relation to various variables. The research will analyze how physical education teachers' experiences of organizational ostracism and their job performance differ based on variables such as gender, marital status, age, years of service, and educational background. Method: The population of the study consists of physical education teachers working at middle and high schools affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Erzurum, Turkey. The sample includes a total of 155 physical education teachers—84 males and 71 females—working in middle and high schools under the authority of the Erzurum Provincial Directorate of National Education. To collect data, a questionnaire was prepared using the Google Forms platform, and the data were collected online. Parametric tests were applied to the data using the SPSS v26.0 statistical software. Frequency analysis, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data according to variables such as gender, marital status, age, educational background, and years of service. Results: In the study, a significant difference was found in the total score of the Organizational Ostracism Scale in favor of single participants when examined in terms of the marital status variable. When the total score of organizational ostracism was examined in terms of educational status, a significant difference was found in favor of participants with postgraduate education. In the task performance sub-dimension of job performance, a significant difference was observed in favor of participants with 9 or more years of professional experience. Conclusion: Studies have shown that as tenure increases, average performance scores also rise, suggesting that job performance improves with experience.
