The evaluation of non verbal communicative behaviours of physical education teachers by their students' perceptions

Abstract (EN)
With this study, how the physical education teachers of elementary school use, nonverbal communicative behaviours in inner class communication established by getting the ideas of students.The research data were obtained via questionaires. The questionaire used in the field research is composed of 43 questions. The validity and reliability studies of the questionaires were made.In this research, the data were obtained by inquiry that was made to 1133 students of 24 elementary schools, which is in Ankara, Yenimahalle. The data taken were solved by SPSS package programe and frequence (f), percentage (%), aritmetic avarage (xort), standart deviation (sd), Mann-Whitney U (U), Kruskal-Wallis H (H) were used in statical analyzes.The results showed the students agreed little with the indicated statement concerning nonverbal communicative behaviours of physical education teachers: ?using hand and arm gestures?, ?to express anger, tiredness with facial expression ?. The participants mostly agreed with these statements: ? to greet before the lesson?, ?thoughtfulness for appearance?, ?to express satisfaction with facial expression?, ?The classes end on time? and ? teaching with eye contact where all students can see easily the teacher?.Key Words: Nonverbal Communicative Behaviours, Physical Education Teacher.
