Examination of physical education teachers work alienation level in the frame of several variables

This research aims at indicating the change of physical education teachers,working at formal elementary and secondary educational institutions, alienationperceivement according to age, marital status, gender, education, work experience andwhether there is a sports center at school in the dimension of meaningless,powerlessness, alienation to physical education teacher and vocational insulation.The study group of the research includes physical education teachers who aremembers of sharing groups formed for 3000 physical education teachers on Internet and150 physical education teachers from all over the country who participated in ?PhysicalEducation Formators Development Course? organized in Silifke Kapızlı Youth andScouting Educational Facility on 23 April by Ministry of National Education andGeneral Directorate of Inschool Physical Education and Scouting Office between thedates of June 25/26 in 2009 and 100 physical education teachers from all over thecountry who participated in ?Seminar On The Promotion Of Physical EducationCurriculum? organized in Erzurum between the dates of June 18/22 in 2008.?Physical Education Teachers? Alienation to Work Scale? has been applied bythe researcher to the group including physical education teachers. As a result ofapplications, electronic media 264 and face to face in 144 applications have beenevaluated data from a total of 408 physical education teachers. T-test has been appliedviin determination of differentiation in the level of physical education teachers? alienationto work according to age, marital status, gender, education, work experience andwhether there is a sports center at school, on the other hand one way variance analysis(Anova) has been applied in determination of differentiation according to age andvocational experience variances.Physical education teachers? alienation to work in the dimension of vocationalinsulation and powerlessness is determined as high and vocational alienation andmeaningless is determined as low in the findings of the research.According to the examination of level of physical education teachers?alienation to work on variables, it is determined that physical education teachersbetween the ages of 21-30 and female physical education teachers? perception is high onmeaninglessness and married physical education teachers? perception is high onalienation to work and meaninglessness. Also, it is determined that perception onalienation to work in powerlessness dimension is higher on 16-20 years? or 6-10 years?experienced physical education teachers? than the ones who have 1-5 years? experience.On the other hand, the result of the findings show that 16-20 years experienced physicaleducation teachers? have more meaningless perception than the ones who have 26 yearsand more experience and the ones working at elementary schools have higher level ofalienation perception according to the ones working at secondary schools.
