Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the differences between the physical fitness levels of students studying in schools with and without physical education and sports teachers (PET). Research; The study was conducted with 172 students (mean age: 10.34 ± 0.47 years) continuing formal education in Konya Province, Çumra, Karapınar and Karatay Districts. The students were selected from among those who were not active in extracurricular activities and were divided into two groups according to whether they had PET or not. "Physical Activity Questionnaire" developed by Kowalski (2004) and adapted into Turkish by Sert and Temel (2014) was used to measure students' physical activity levels. In order to measure the physical fitness levels of the students, push-up, sit-reach, flamingo, Nelson hand reaction, vertical jump, 30 m speed, T agility and bent arm hanging tests were applied. . The obtained data were analyzed in SPSS 23.0 package program. It was determined that all data showed normal distribution with the normal distribution analysis and Independent Samples T Test analysis was used to compare the tests. The normality distribution of the data was determined by the Skewness-Kurtosis method. Cohen's d was used to determine the effect sizes of the significant differences obtained. G*Power 3.1.9.7 program was used to perform this analysis. According to the findings, push-ups (8.75 ± 7.11; 5.09 ± 5.66), Nelson hand reaction (21.80 ± 6.71; 26.69 ± 8.83), vertical jump (22.87 ± 5.39; 20.12 ± 4.01), 30 m sprint (6.91) were in favor of the students of the school with PFS. Significant differences were found in ± 0.61; 7.51 ± 0.93), T agility (14.59 ± 2.19; 15.82 ± 1.92) and bent-arm hanging (19.54 ± 17.58; 14.37 ± 15.80) tests (p<0.05). In addition, construct validity was determined by determining that the BEQ had an equal effect between the genders and the difference between the genders did not affect the statistical significance. As a result, it has been determined that BEÖ is effective on students' physical fitness levels. It is thought that BEÖ should work at all levels of primary schools.
