Abstract (EN)

Examining the Relationship Between Physical Education Teachers' Self-Qualifications and Time Management Skills Introduction and Purpose: Today, the concept of time management can be an important concept in terms of fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the profession when considered by teachers aiming to educate people. In terms of teaching, the concept of self-sufficiency emphasizes the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that must be taken in order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities required by this profession. It is thought that time management is an important concept at the point of making these responsibilities easier. In this context, the aim of the study is to determine the relationship between the personal self-sufficiency of physical education teachers working across Batman province and time management skills. In addition, the study aims to demonstrate the relationship between teachers' time management skills and interpersonal self-efficacy and some demographic variables. Material and Method: The research group consists of 220 physical education teachers (94 women and 126 men) who work in official secondary schools and high schools in Batman provincial center and districts in the 2019-2020 academic year. "Personal Information Form", developed by the researcher for demographic information of physical education teachers, "Time Management Survey" and "Physical Education Teachers' Self-Qualifications Survey" was applied to determine time management skills. The results were analyzed by transferring to the SPSS 25.0 for WINDOWS statistical package program. Results: In tests to see if time management skills of physical education teachers involved in the study have an impact on perceptions of interpersonal self-sufficiency, no differentiation is detected among gender, age, marital status, education status, employment type, income status variables, and in variable of service time in the profession, in-school relationships, family-related relationships and personal self-sufficiency in the total score; it has been found that self-efficacy of teachers working between 11-15 years is statistically and significantly lower than those who have been working between 6-10 years and 16 years and more, 5 years and less. On the other hand, it has been found that there are very strong positive relationships between time management skills and interpersonal self-sufficiency in statistically significant degrees. Conclusion: The following results were obtained in the study: Physical education teachers who participated in the study were found to have a high level of time management skills. At the same time, it has been found that physical education teachers have a high level of interpersonal self-sufficiency. Between the factors of both time management and interpersonal self-sufficiency scales, time management, and interpersonal self-efficiency were found to have very strong positive relationships with statistically significant degrees among each other. Physical education teachers with high time management skills have also been found to have high perceptions of self-efficacy among persons.
