Occupitional problems of teachers of physical education and sports and how these problems effect their performance (The example of the province of Adıyaman)

Teachers whose duties are to give students the required acquisitions might experience problems that result from specifics of their branch. These problems that teachers face have an effect on their performance. This research has been carried out in order to discover the problems that influence the performance of physical education teachers. In the scope of research, the literature had been searched throughly in order to prepare necessary knowledge. Then in the total numbers of teachers who work as physical education teachers in the province of Adıyaman and the towns in 2017-2018 academic year was determined to be 360. Teachers who were on the leave or who were entrusted with a duty in the period of the survey have not been included. The number of the teachers who could be contacted decreased to 321 physical education teachers. The data obtained from the survey which was conducted to teachers has been analysed and evaulated. The survey which was conducted to the physical education teachers consists of two parts. In the first part of the survey there are quetions prepared to determine demoghraphic features of teachers. In the second part there are questions which are asked in order to find out problems that physical education teachers experienced and the influence of these problems on their performance. Data obtained from the conducted survey has been evaulated by statictical data evaulation programme SPSS 20.0. In the scope of the research the problems of physical education teachers and the influence of the problems on their performance was considered in all and sub aspects according to the lenght of their service, place of work, whether they attended seminars and in service training or not, their bachelor degree programmes, the problems of teachers and the effects of these problems on their performance was disscused according to different variants in all sub aspects. As a result of research, in conclusion, it's determined that many problems such as the economic conditions of teachers, the other teachers' negative attitude to physical education and sports and considering it not to be beneficial, insufficient sport facilities , and inadequate tools and equipment inadequate class hours, lack of habit for sports amoungst the students, passing the exams easly, negative mental attitude that students' parents and school administration have influenced teachers' performance in a negative way.
